League of Legends is a game which has gained a lot of popularity among egamers since its release and is clearly a favorite, particularly with online college students. Student gamers enjoy the challenges put forth by League of Legends and gaming clubs and school League of Legend teams are a terrific way for students to bond and learn how to work together.
The gaming industry is huge, particularly in the United States. College students are typically among one of the largest age groups for gamers, both male and female. Therefore, it is no surprise that eSports are on the rise and are starting to become more recognized as legitimate events that require talent and skill, as do regular sports.
In order to determine which top schools would be best for League of Legends players, scores to a recent college LoL eSports tournament were consulted and that data was used to comprise 37.5% of the total score used for ranking. Points were awarded to schools which offered scholarships for League of Legend players. This comprised 26.8 of the total score used for ranking. Lastly, we consulted Niche.com to find the Overall and Academic grades given to each school, these numbers each made up 17.9% of the total ranking score. In one case, the niche ratings were unavailable, therefore a rank of C+ was substituted in an effort to ensure the ranking is fair.
We also consulted our ranking of the top 100 best online colleges during our research into the best colleges for League of Legends (LoL) eSports gamers.

Harvard University was established in 1636 and is considered to be one of the most prestigious universities in the United States. It is also an Ivy League private research university. Students who are fortunate enough to attend Harvard are more than happy with the academic selection as well as the student clubs and organizations available to join.
Harvard University is home to its own League of Legends team for students. Students play together to work toward common goals and have fun using teamwork. Players can also compete in tournaments against players from other schools across the nation.

18. University of Georgia
The University of Georgia in Athens was founded in 1785 and has made certain to stay updated with the new technologies and innovations as it grew and moved into modern times. Today the academic offerings at UGA are vast, with over 140 degree programs for students to choose from. Students also may find themselves joining clubs or student organizations as they progress toward their degree.
The Society of Modern Interactive Team Entertainment is a club for students who are fans and avid players of League of Legends. 15. SUNY at Stony Brook
Stony Brook, New York
Part of the State University of New York, Stony Brook was founded in 1957, but moved to Stony Brook in 1962 . Stony Brook is also the largest single-site employer located on Long Island. The academic offerings of Stony Brook are vast, with over 200 undergraduate programs, 100 graduate programs, and 40 doctorates available to choose from.

West Lafayette, Indiana
Founded in 1869 in West Lafayette, Indiana, Purdue University is the main campus in the Purdue University System. The University of California in Los Angeles became the second school in the University of California System in 1919. Last fall the school received 119,000 applications which was the most applications of any higher education institution in the United States. UCLA average enrollment is about 42,000 students, both graduate and undergraduate. Students have a wide selection of programs to choose from when they attend UCLA which is part of the appeal.
UCLA also has a large number of clubs and organizations for students to participate in. eSports are becoming widely popular and like many other colleges, UCLA has its own League of Legends team. 8. Florida State University
Since the 1800’s, Florida State University in Tallahassee has been dedicated to higher education and is the oldest continuous site of higher education in the state of Florida. 1. Robert Morris University
