Formed as the Rasmussen School of Business in 1900 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the school focused on practical business education. As it grew by merging with other business colleges, it opened further regional campuses as well as a distance learning program, accumulating over 100,000 alums across its various programs.

With degrees ranging from Associates in Applied Science to Bachelors of Science, as well as certificate programs, Rasmussen College is best known for its business degrees and medical technology degree.
